With Bataan now less than a couple of hours away from Manila via ferry, the historic province is already on everyone's mind for weekend getaways. It offers a number of attractions—from the beaches and coves in Mariveles to the heritage houses in Bagac. Morong, an idyllic beachfront municipality, is also an easy choice for city-dwellers who just want some peace and quiet while admiring the beauty of nature. Travelers (and lovebirds looking for an escape) would be glad to know that a new resort—called Puesta Del Sol Villas—opened along its coast on March 19.
You can stay for just a day (from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the rate of P350 for adults. If you and your partner want to invite the rest of the family with you, the rate for kids is P250. You can also get a cabana for 10 people worth P5,000. Facilities include a five-foot swimming pool with a hot tub and a karaoke room.
Overnight stays are, of course, much better, because you can spend some time admiring the gorgeous sunset from the private porch of your room. Their biggest space—a Family Villa for four—is at P8,000; while the rooms and villas for two range from P3,500 to P4,500. All rates are inclusive of breakfast.
Puesta Del Sol Villas is at Strands Subdivision, Barrio Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan. For more information, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0956-790-8130.
