Three things come to mind when you go on a trip to South Korea: K-beauty, K-drama, and K-BBQ! But spending the Christmas season in the land of chok chok skin is also something worth considering, especially with its myriad of colorful light displays and sparkling attractions that make for perfect travel photos. Take for example the Herb Island Light Festival, which runs until December 31 in Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province.
Herb Island's Christmas display includes a tunnel formed by pink heart-shaped arcs, a whole field of lights in various hues, and buildings outlined with more sparklers. You can also join the festival's exciting lineup of activities, including soap-making and stage performances.
The Herb Island Light Festival runs until December 31 at 35 Cheongsin-ro, 947beon-gil, Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Performances are every weekend, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are at 6,000 won (approximately P279). For more information, visit Korea Tourism Organization's website.
