Nyx Martinez, a Filipina writer, makes herself known to international readers in the latest compilation of stories from the widely popular Chicken Soup for the Soul series, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Christmas Magic.

Known worldwide for heartwarming stories of strength, faith, and kindness in the face of difficult situations, the Chicken Soup series have become bestsellers, translated into over 50 languages.

Nyx's story, "My First Noel," is included in the latest Chicken Soup for the Soul title, which will be launched locally at the Shangri-La EDSA branch of National Bookstore on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at 5:00 PM.
