Airline Ratings has recently released their 20 best airlines, as judged by "seven editors with over 200 years’ industry experience." Their Airline Excellence Awards "combines major safety and government audits, with 12 key criteria that include: fleet age, passenger reviews, profitability, investment rating, product offerings, and staff relations."

Local airline Cebu Pacific also was garnered an award. "A move to expand its global footprint using new generation fuel-efficient aircraft makes Cebu Pacific a worthy winner of the 2020 Most Improved Airline,” said Airline Ratings Editor-in-Chief Mr. Geoffrey Thomas. Cebu Pacific has also recently ordered a number of new planes. Back in 2018, it has managed to achieve the highest ranking for safety.
