Womanity award-nominated Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton successfully retained her World Boxing Organization super-bantamweight title after a 10-round bout with Franchesca Alcanter on February 26 at the Craneway Pavilion Point Richmond, California. GMANews.tv reports that her left jab and fast footwork helped secure a decisive scorecard from the judges who gave a unanimous decision for Julaton at 98-92, 97-93, and 96-94.

"I just kept her away with those left jabs of mine," Julaton said post-fight. "I know Franchesca would be bringing her A-game in the ring, but I was ready for it." In an interview with TV5, Julaton stated she was eager to come back to the Philippines. "Hello, Philippines," she said. "I dedicate this fight to all of you out there."
