Maroon 5 is known for churning out hits with every new album release. If you search online, you’re likely to stumble upon a lot of covers of their songs done by other people. One American guy named Chris managed to stand out with his “100% Kano” remake of the Maroon 5 song “Payphone.” Some may laugh at his pronunciation of Filipino words (he lists “trying to make Tagalog sounds with an American mouth” as one of his interests on his Facebook page) but looking past that, his love and appreciation for the Filipino culture and the local music industry is beyond inspiring.
