Directed by Michael Vaughn, the movie focuses on young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) years before they became Professor X and Magneto. Before they were mortal enemies, the two were best friends working together to defeat Sebastian Shaw’s Hellfits (Kevin Bacon), a secret society who wants to take over the world.
Costume designer Sammy Sheldon uses her creativity to bring the fashion style of the ‘60s to life—with a twist—in the X-Men’s retro duds using items like thigh-high boots, short skirts, and lots of leather as key points in her designs.
