Do you have your own favorite motivational songs? Tell us all about them in a comment.

1. "WHO SAYS" by Selena Gomez and The Scene (2011)

Inspiring lines: "Who says / Who says you're not perfect / Who says you’re not worth it / Who says you’re the only one that’s hurting"

In this upbeat song, Selena talks about not letting haters get you down and always keeping your chin up in the face of adversity. Selena herself admitted this song is dedicated to people having trouble with cyberbullying.

2. "WHO'S LAUGHING NOW" by Jessie J (2011)

Inspiring lines: "Thank you for the pain / It made me raise my game / And I'm still rising, I'm still rising"

Having experienced being bullied when she was younger, singer-songwriter Jessie J successfully infuses her feelings of triumph--and yes, there's a bit of an in-your-face attitude there too--in this song, in which she talks about how it feels to rise above the situation and become the better person years later.

3. "SKYSCRAPER" by Demi Lovato (2011)

Inspiring lines: "Go on and try to tear me down / I will be rising from the ground / Like a skyscraper!"

Who better to take advice from about getting up after a fall than this former Disney star? Demi disappeared from the scene briefly after going into rehabilitation in 2010 for "emotional and physical issues," but she returned afterward with this song to inspire other teens not to walk the path she walked.

4. "PERFECT" by Pink (2010)

Inspiring lines: "Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel / Like your less than, less than perfect / Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel / Like your nothing / You are perfect to me"

If you've ever felt misunderstood, let Pink's song about staying true to yourself lead you back in the right direction. In this song, Pink redefines the idea of perfection (we're all perfect in our own ways after all!).

5. "ONE DAY" by Charice (2011)

Inspiring lines: "One day, you're gonna know who I am / Oh when I'm high and free / It's not fate, wait and see, one day"

If you feel like this year is the year you're going to achieve your dreams, let Charice's song about doing exactly that keep you company on your journey! If you're low on morale, the lyrics will definitely give you a much-needed boost.

6. "SUDDENLY I SEE" by KT Tunstall (2009)

Inspiring lines: "Suddenly I see / This is what I wanna be / Suddenly I see / Why the hell it means so much to me"

If you've watched The Devil Wears Prada, then you've heard "Suddenly I See" playing in the opening credits. This cheerful song is perfect for people looking for clarity as they move forward in their lives, whether it's in their career or something else.

7. "CHANGE" by Taylor Swift (2008)

Inspiring lines: "'Cause these things will change, can you feel it now? / These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down / It's a revolution / The time will come for us to finally win"

This country darling encourages people to embrace change and fight for what they believe in this self-penned song. In the simple music video below, Taylor performs the song with gusto and raises her arms to the ceiling.

8. "BORN THIS WAY" by Lady Gaga (2011)

Inspiring lines: "I'm beautiful in my way / 'Cause God makes no mistakes / I'm on the right track, baby / I was born this way"

Lady Gaga, whose unique sense of style and distinctive music have made her popular worldwide, talks about being proud of who you are and embracing your identity. The song reached 1,000,000 digital downloads in just five days. It was also covered by Filipina-Canadian Maria Aragon, who has gone on to become an artist of her own.

9. "I FEEL PRETTY / UNPRETTY" by Lea Michele and Dianna Agron (Glee)

Inspiring lines: "You can buy all the makeup that MAC can make / But if you can't look inside you, find out who I am too / Be in a position to make me feel so damn unpretty"

Everyone has insecurities about his or her physical appearance. This song performed in the second season of Glee, a mashup of TLC's "Unpretty" and Westside Story's "I Feel Pretty," sheds light on some of them and encourages women to be confident and accept themselves for who they are.

10. "FLY" by Nicki Minaj ft. Rihanna (2011)

Inspiring lines: "I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive / I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise / To fly, to fly"

Rap princess Nicki Minaj teams up with Barbadian Billboard Hot 100 queen Rihanna for this uplifting song, which talks about the hardships people face on the path to greatness. In the music video, the dark world Nicki and Rihanna live in transforms into a green world after they succeed in defeating the baddies.
