The owners of this home were more or less resigned to living a life of chaos. After all, this might be the price one has to pay for having three adorable young children. But they never gave up the dream of living a life less cluttered. But as her decorating plans were kept on hold, though, their kids and their toys have gradually taken over their two-storey home. Their despair prompted them to send an email to Real Living and left the rest to the universe. To their utter surprise and gratitude, the universe responded by sending RL's ex-associate stylist and first-time makeover designer, Issa Villar, to whom they gave free reign.
But although they kept suggestions to a minimum, it turned out that their vision and Issa's were a perfect match.
Issa's advice: make new music with old pieces.
The owner's mother was a piano teacher and left the family this piano when she passed. Although the musical instrument was helpful in doubling as a divider between the living area and the kitchen, they secretly resented the gloomy mood its dark wood evoked. Since letting it go was out of the question, Issa had the piano re-painted white to show off its form and go with the new blue-and-white color scheme of the living area.
