Dash was given to us four years ago by two of our family friends, a couple. Since no one could take care of him because both of them were working, and because my family loves pets, we took him in.
Dash possesses the qualities of your typical cat: vain, snobbish, and likes to sleep all the time. There are even times when he would not let anyone, not even us, come near and cuddle him. But this cat's got a sweet side too.
He grew up with four dogs. He used to scratch the canines because they were too active for his taste, and he thought the dogs bothered him too much. But as years passed, they became family. Sometimes, my mother would joke that Dash wants to be a dog. Every morning, he would walk to the dogs' place and lie down with them, and when they wake up, they’d run all over the place--together.
Though he can be snobbish at times, Dash can be sweet too. Aside from being fond of our dogs now, he loves bombarding our rooms and lying down beside us. He loves stuffing himself in the shoe rack. He already loves cuddling (because he has no choice but to give in, hehe), and we always subject him to candid shots (you'll never know when you can get a good photo of him). And because he's sweet, he made my father (who doesn't like cats) love him and his likes too.
