Chitoboy is the Roque family's cute, pilyo (mischievous), loyal, and very loving dog. Chitoboy ("Mumuy" for short), like most toddlers, is so makulit, but will immediately follow me when I start counting "Chitoboy! Isa (one)!" I've never met a person who doesn't like our Chito--man or woman, child or adult, gay or lesbian; name it, they like Chito very much. Chito is one popular dog; he is known by everyone here in our condo village. Chito made them want to have a dog too.
Like humans, Chito hates to exercise but loves Keebler cookies and Selecta ice cream. He once went through my bag and opened the plastic container! Chitoboy hates being alone, so one of us always hurries home to accompany him. Every Sunday family lunch, he sits on the fifth chair of the dining table and puts his best can-I-have-table-food face to everyone, especially to the person who easily gives in: his lola (my mom).
Chito gives laughter and smiles to our faces everyday.With his antics, we always have stories to tell to our friends and family. The thought of seeing Chitoboy when I get home from work relieves the day's stress. I cannot count the times Chito made me feel better. I thank the Lord everyday for giving us Chitoboy. Chitoboy is not our dog; he is family.
