Out with the old, in with the new! Home store KISH shares its December 2010 collection with FN, just in time to glam up your home for the upcoming holidays and new year. Along with getting furniture pieces from all over the world, owner Ito Kish says the store will be starting four new services for its patrons: visual merchandising, design for life, gift registry, and contract sales.
With visual merchandising, KISH aims to help retailers create the perfect merchandise displays for their customers’ convenience. Meanwhile, excited new homeowners can try design for life, in which professional designers will create floor plans for them at affordable rates. The gift registry gives customers a more convenient way to buy and send gifts by letting them do it through online wish lists. Bulk orders on certain pieces in the 2011 catalog will now also be available via contract sales.
In the meantime, KISH has released their December 2010 collection just in time for the holidays. Have you finished decorating your home for Christmas? If you’re having trouble and need a little help, check out these tips from the master himself, Ito Kish.
1. MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR SPACE
Be sure that you proportions are right. There is such a thing as volume and space, which simply means that you buy pieces that will fit into your space.
2. CREATE A STORY
Have a direction. It can be color, material or style. Get inspired by recreating a look from you trips or about the last stylish movie you saw.
3. BE ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND
For Christmas, come up with a theme and be environmentally-friendly by using the latest energy saving materials available in the market. Christmas is seasonal so make sure you buy decors that you can keep with your available space.
