"Hey, let's hang out soon!" "Catch up naman tayo some time." "Miss you!" These are just some of the most common things I hear from my friends whom I haven't seen or talked to in a while. I always try to make plans so we could update each other, but most of the time, if not always, that's just what it is — a plan.
But luckily, we've got modern technology to take care of that: Why not set up a date over video chat? There's so many platforms out there right now: Facebook Messenger, FaceTime, Skype, Instagram, the list goes on.
And when you do find that day when all members of your group are free, here are some things you can do to stay connected:
1. Set up an "e-numan"!
Grab your favorite drink, have everyone in the call give life updates, and toast to friendship. The best part is that you'll be in the comfort of your own home.
2. Have a game night.
Yeah, board games and card games are cool, but there are also several online games that are worth checking out! Feeling a bit competitive? Try an online game with your squad. They're perfect for parties, and could possibly even be a fun family activity. Find them here.
Invite your friends to a Netflix party.
Netflix and chill, literally. Watch your favorite movies and TV series with your friends without having to worry about leaving your home. Note that for this to work though, you have to make sure everyone in your group has an account and has downloaded the Google Chrome extension Netflix Party.
Exercise.
A lot of things happen on a daily basis, so it's important to stay healthy! Your workout buddies are just on the other side of the screen. Try a quick and effective workout that doesn't require much.
Do a live tutorial.
Teach your friends a new skill or learn how to start a hobby all in real time! Maybe you want to do a makeup tutorial, or you're feeling a bit crafty. Perhaps you want to learn how to play your favorite K-pop song on the piano, or discuss a book you've all been reading? Sky's the limit!
