It hasn't been a year since the catastrophe that was Typhoon Ketsana (or Ondoy, as it was known here), so you'd think that everyone should have wised up and taken pre-typhoon precautions. But from the panic over Typhoon Conson (Basyang) and the floods and metro-wide blackout it caused this week, it seems that many failed to do so.

Remember, Basyang is only the first of the 11 typhoons PAGASA expects to hit the country this year. So it's imperative to make sure that you're prepared for the worst.
