article_out-of-the-blue.jpgThe first thing you would notice in this unit are the deep blue walls—an unusual choice of hue for small spaces. “It has to be color blue because it’s my favorite color,” the owner says. When Kristine Neri, the interior designer who worked on the home, asked the owner what her style is, she said she didn’t have any, but she had two things in mind on what she wanted her unit to have: ample storage and a big dose of her favorite color.

Kristine admits that the space for the dining, kitchen, and living areas was a bit tight, with the unit measuring approximately 49 sqm—already a combination of two units. “The only faculty was trying to zone these areas and still make them functional and, of course, still aesthetically pleasing,” explains Kristine. And because the owner requested to have her favorite color on all walls, Kristine went neutral with the other pieces. “I was lucky enough that the other furniture pieces that came in with the unit were all in neutral colors, like beiges and browns. You just had to go with this and tone down the blue with splashes of white and beige,” explains the designer.
