The owner of this 87-sqm condo unit thought he could never live in a small home. "I'm used to a big space," he says. But his family home in the southern part of the Metro proved a bane to his work, as the heavy traffic would take him at least two hours to get to Makati or to any place whenever he has projects. He also couldn't conduct makeup trials because it was too far for his clients to visit.
"I bought this unit so I could have a place for my makeup trials. I do makeup for brides [and] commercials--TV, billboard, [and] magazine covers," says the owner of his condo unit in Mandaluyong. He says he liked the place because he didn't want a condo with a hallway that looks like a hospital. He sought the help of his friend, decorator Marilyn Villaflor, in designing his unit. "All I wanted is for it to have masculine colors, so I played around on brown, taupe, mud colors. [For the look], I wanted it to be clean," he says.
