While several couples all over the country spent the weekend after Valentine’s Day snuggling in each other’s arms, a number of Manila’s dog lovers trooped to the Compassion and Responsibility for Animals’ (CARA) Love Tails fair and dinner banquet for a fun-filled afternoon with their pooches. The dogs had a blast trying out the many activities the fair offered, which includes a photo booth, a massage booth, a dog fortune-telling session, and so much more, while their owners helped themselves to the sumptuous buffet dinner prepared for them.

The event was made even more special as it aimed to raise funds for the rehabilitation of the Laguna Pitbulls, who were rescued from a dog-fighting syndicate some months ago. With a lot of support and TLC from generous volunteers, 170 remaining pitbulls were nursed back to health, and some who have fully recuperated from the trauma they suffered are now ready to be adopted by a loving family. That’s a lot of love spread around for one day!
