Out with the old, in with the new. Once again, it's that time of the year where we huddle with our journals, ponder on the year that was, and plan for things that are coming ahead. January, after all, is a month for reflection, and what better way to usher in the new year than with your very own one-word resolution?

According to Happiness Project author Gretchen Rubin, choosing your very own buzzword sets the overall theme for the coming year. It's catchy, it's simple, it's convenient, and it's powerful. Holding on to your one-word mantra could be life-changing, and it may lead you closer to the life that you actually want to live. For some people, their one-word resolution could be "travel," while for others it could be "prioritize," "love," "try," or whatever that catches their fancy.
