A decade ago, we couldn’t even imagine a world where everyone had smartphones, but thanks to technology, gadgets are now as much a part of our daily lifestyle as any other basic necessity. Corporate employees use them for presentations. Fitness enthusiasts wear them to measure their miles. Now, with innovative companies such as Apple, Google, and Samsung supposedly taking the helm, these personal gadgets may become even more invaluable than you think.

According to ABS-CBNNews.com, these organizations are looking into the technological possibilities of measuring blood sugar levels with a smart gadget. They are apparently also interested in marketing these smartwatches and bracelets as more than just a nifty piece of technology.

Considering that they’ve already started creating the supply (Apple has iWatch, Google has “smart” contact lens, and Samsung has Simband), it may only be a matter of time before everyone you know is sporting a fashionable health gadget.
