Lovi Poe broke the Internet when she posted a nude photo à la Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon on Instagram. No one could stop talking about her toned, summer-ready body.
But maintaining a bikini bod isn't the reason Lovi works out regularly. On day two of the Bench Fashion Week, the Kapuso actress shared in an interview with PEP.ph that she doesn't really feel any pressure to look sexy. She doesn't even bother monitoring her body measurements.
She said, “I don’t really stress myself with that. Not at all. It’s not a pressure because I don’t work out to have a good body. I work out to feel good every day because honestly, when I wake up in the morning, I work out at least 30 minutes. Even if it’s short, as long as I do it all the time—I don’t know, it’s endorphins for me. I need endorphins every day.
"More than having a good body, it’s more of how I feel.”
The 29-year-old actress also shared that she made the decision to maintain a healthy lifestyle nine years ago.
She said, “I guess when I was turning 20, I was starting to be really conscious about my health. It’s like I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle."
“There was a time in my life when I was always out, having so much fun partying, then one morning, I just woke up. And I just wanna wake up early in the morning and go to the gym and eat healthy food. That’s what happened.”
Lovi has been reaping its positive effects ever since.
“Living a healthy lifestyle actually helps with a lot of things. Helps you concentrate more, helps you go with your day-to-day routine. It empowers everybody.”
“It’s not just about the way you look. It’s the total package. Being a sexy woman is not just about someone’s body, it’s about someone’s soul, beautiful soul. Someone who has a beautiful mind as well. Being sexy is a holistic thing.”
