Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan, Metro Manila, has just released an advisory regarding one of the two newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 announced by the Department of Health on March 6, 2020.
Posted on Facebook, part of the advisory reads: "Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) took care of a male patient who had no history of travels or contact with those who traveled to the countries enumerated to have experienced positive COVID-19. He tested positive for COVID-19 given continued presence of symptoms."
CSMC noted that the patient has already been transfered to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
The hospital's management assures the public that it is working with the Department of Health (DOH) and is "following the protocols on quarantine." Those who have been in contact with the male patient have reportedly shown no symptoms at the time of the advisory.
