Nothing compares to spending Christmas in the Philippines, a country where annual holiday traditions are held close to the citizens’ hearts. You can see signs of the holidays once the ‘ber months come around: parols are hung as early as September, Christmas songs can be heard in malls by October, and children can be seen caroling in November. These little reminders of the holidays gradually culminate in an explosion of gifts, food, religious customs, parties, and other festivities as December 25 draws closer.
