If you prefer to start the year right a bit more quietly, you can choose to attend dinner instead at one of The Peninsula’s restaurants. Old Manila’s Chef de Cuisine Samuel Linder will be serving a modern European-inspired six-course set dinner, which adults can avail for P6,100 (inclusive of wine pairing) and P4,200 for children.

Start the year on an exotic note at Spices, which offers a la carte New Year’s delicacies from India, Thailang, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Meanwhile, Escolta’s delicious buffet, priced at P3,200 for adults and P1,900 for children, will have you welcoming 2013 with a happy tummy.

For the night owls, Salon de Ning is inviting the whole city to its send-off party from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Guests can enjoy unlimited wine, spirits, beer, and one Möet & Chandon Piccolo for P2,800.
