A YouTube video of a professor hitting and verbally abusing a student is now being looked into by authorities.

Interaksyon.com reports that both the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) are already trying to determine the authenticity of the video. The person who posted the video stated that the school shown was located in Pasay City, though it has not yet been confirmed by the authorities.

The National Union of Students of the Philippines (NUSP) is asking the school’s administrators to investigate the incident and to enforce the corresponding disciplinary action. "After due process and proper investigation, discipline and all the necessary actions should be executed where these are due,” said NUSP.

The said video has been making rounds on social media since it was posted on January 6 (Sunday).
