Good news, book lovers! Quezon City now has a brand new public library!
QC Mayor Herbert Bautista together with City Librarian Emelita Villanueva opened today the three-story building at the QC Hall Complex that houses over 15,000 books and boasts of beautiful facilities conducive for students, researchers, and leisure readers alike.
Aside from housing a Filipinana section and a periodical section on the first floor, and an area for law and technical services references on the second floor, the public library also features “a café, a children’s puppeteer’s room, and a function room,” GMA News Online reports.
“The best source for research is still the library,” Mayor Bautista said in his speech.
The new Quezon City Public Library can now accommodate 700 to 1,000 clients a day, and is open to all.
