The Japan Foundation Manila (JFM) presents Kirie Paper Cutting Art Workshop by Mr. Shu Kubo. This workshop will be held on May 25 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on May 26 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Japan Foundation Manila (23/F Pacific Star Building, Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. corner Makati Ave., Makati City). Mr. Shu Kubo is a kirié artist who specializes in this traditional Japanese paper cutting art. His artwork gained recognition in Japan, and he became the cultural abmassador of the Department of Cultural Affairs of Japan in 2009. Mr. Kubo’s works will be exhibited at the JFM office from May 21 to June 29. Sixteen works, including the Sunflowers and Tram, Beautiful Street of Whitewashed Wall, and Temple and Hydrangea, will be on display.
