Former MTRCB chairperson Grace Poe is currently leading the crop of senatorial aspirants for the 2013 elections in the partial and unofficial tally of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

Rappler.com reports that Poe, the daughter of the late action star Fernando Poe Jr. and actress Susan Roces, currently has 14,521,131 as of 11:24 A.M. on May 14. She is followed by reelectionists Loren Legarda with 13,279,661 votes, and Alan Peter Cayetano who got 12,565,938 votes.

Rounding up the top 12 are Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Nancy Binay, Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, Benigno “Bam” Aquino, Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, Antonio Trillanes, Cynthia Villar, Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, and Gringo Honasan.

The PPCRV is the citizens’ arm of the Commission of Elections (Comelec), which temporarily suspended the national canvassing of votes on the eve of May 13 to allow its staff to rest.

“We are all somewhat tired. This is to give everybody a chance to rest. We should rest for a while. (On May 14), when we come out, we come out with all the results and then continuously,” said Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. in an article on Inquirer.net.

According to another article on Inquirer.net, Brillantes is hoping to have the final 12 candidates proclaimed by May 15.
