Filipina fashion designer Happy Andrada is making a name for herself in the international fashion circuit. Last August, she bagged the second place plum as well as the “My Favorite Design Award,” in the Wedding Gown Category at the Third Asian Wedding Arts and Design Competition in Hong Kong. Happy was the only designer from the Philippines, besting over a thousand entries from 14 countries and regions.

Prior to her most recent fashion victory, Happy was also named the Emerging Designer of the Year at the 2012 Miami International Fashion Week held last March, beating hundreds of participants from 25 different countries. She was also the only Asian designer to become a finalist at the Top Styl Designer Competition at Brno, Czech Republic last February, and she likewise showcased her collection in theAlternative Fashion Week held at Toronto, Canada in April.

Happy will next be representing the Philippines in the Fashion Art Biennale to be held this November at Seoul, Korea, continuing her quest to elevate Filipino fashion to new heights. With her impressive talent and creativity, there’s no doubt that her star will surely be shining for a long time.
