Ethan Hawke, who plays American writer Jesse, and Julie Delpy, who plays French activist Celine, find themselves reunited in Before Midnight, the third movie in a series of Richard Linklater films that began in 1995.
Set nine years after their Paris encounter in Before Sunset, Before Midnight puts Jesse and Celine in Greece with their two gorgeous girls. However, their vacation turns a little sour when Jesse starts worrying about not being able to spend as much time with his son Hank in Chicago (from a previous marriage), and when Celine feels like she might lose her freedom as a result. Feelings of resentment come out of the woodwork, leaving the audiences wondering if this could be the end of a relationship that was 18 years in the making.
