They’re Playing Our Song, the musical based on the love story of the late Tony Award-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Carole Bayer Sager, will be having its second run in Manila at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati until March 3. In it, well-known composer Vernon Gersch (played by veteran actor Lorenz Martinez) meets aspiring offbeat female lyricist, Sonia Walsk (played by Nikki Gil). It’s the show that the New York Post has dubbed as “fun [as] it is funny, full of blithe good humor, hilarious jokes and witty, pointed characterizations” while the New York Daily News has called it “engaging, light entertainment.” The musical also features hit love songs like "Fallin’" and "I Still Believe in Love," which are guaranteed to bring out the romantic in everyone this month.
