Ballet Philippines, Southeast Asia’s longest-running professional dance company and the country’s premier dance group, looks at a bright and promising 44th season, aptly themed IllumiNATION, with four major productions to look forward to.

The seasons opens with Giselle, a classic tale of undying love beyond life that has remained iconic hrough the centuries because of its great music, dance, and dramatic elements. The next two shows, Rock Supremo, a retelling of Andres Bonifacio’s life, and A Christmas Carol, a classic story for the whole family, feature innovative storytelling techniques that give the traditional dance a fresh twist. Finally, the season finale, The Art of Dance, teaches the audience to appreciate different dance forms, from classical to hip-hop, as well as contemporary dance and theater—a perfect way to celebrate the cultural accomplishments of Ballet Philippines.
