Apple's latest operating system, the iOS 7, has been made available for download on September 18.

The new iOS, hailed by CEO Tim Cook as “the biggest change to iOS since the iPhone,” can now be installed for the following Apple products: iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, and the fifth generation of the iPod touch. It will also come preloaded in the much-awaited iPhone 5s and 5c, both of which will be released on September 20.

The official iOS website enumerates a number of its major changes, which include a redesigned interface that promises a “simpler, more useful, and more enjoyable” experience for its users, as well as new features like the Control Center, AirDrop, and the iTunes Radio. The iOS 7’s camera also has all-new shooting formats and filters, making it a delight for both seasoned shutterbugs and avid selfie-holics. Siri, the intelligent personal assistant application, also got an upgrade, with new voice and pronunciation options and more task options.

However, not everyone is enthusiastic about iOS 7’s changes. Some have decried its new folder structure as too complicated, while several iPhone users have noted that the new software has been draining their device’s battery extra quickly. There are also people who have complained about the iOS 7’s interface, noting that iOS6's less colorful display was better.
