Cellulite, like most of our imperfections, is something we’re constantly told we shouldn’t have. (Hay, what's new?) And of course it follows that if we’re unlucky enough to have them, we should work unreasonably hard to erase, erase, erase.

Magazines encroach on the privacies of celebrities on vacation just to catch them at their most vulnerable (and their most flawed). Cellulite creams and gels with words like, “anti,” “removal,” and “treat” all promise that you COULD and SHOULD look perfect. But the dimples, ripples, waves, and lumps that appear when your body moves are all worthy of love. Here’s why:

1. Most women have cellulite.
And not just because most women don’t meet the ideal standards of beauty! Around 95% of women have cellulite. We’re talking athletes, vegans, celebrities, body-builders—you see where we’re going with this. And if you don't, check out this AMAZING swimsuit campaign with Denise Bidot, a bikini model who refuses to apologize for her body.

2. Men have cellulite.
Yes, all bodies are prone to cellulite. Stored fat does not discriminate.

3. Trying to get rid of the dimples on your thighs or butt can break your bank!
Cellulite treatments, whether laser removal or topical solutions, aren’t cheap. They add up-try doing the math. A cheaper solution? Acceptance.

4. Cellulite treatments aren’t permanent.
So let’s say that by some miracle, those dents started disappearing. You can finally celebrate, right? Wrong. They can come back any time they damn well please. It’ll probably even take half the time it took you to banish them.

5. So what if people make fun of your "cottage cheese thighs?!"
All cheese is good and you don’t want to be anywhere near a person who has the audacity to criticize cheese. Seriously.

6. Hiding them takes too much work and energy!
Girl, ang init dito! ‘Wag ka na magtago. You don’t have to wear pants all the time. Wear the dress you’ve been dying to use. Promise, bagay sayo ‘yan.

7. Men don’t care about your cellulite.
Let us clarify: Worthy men won't dump you for having cellulite. And if it turns out that you're dating someone whose basis of beauty is what he sees in porn sites, RUN. HIDE. DISENGAGE. You shouldn't be with anyone who makes you feel like shit about your body.
