While we're happy for Miss Universe Philippines Pia Wurtzbach's win—imagine taking home the crown for your country after 42 yearsthe controversial turn of events garnered mixed reactions from all over the world. Here, the Internet's 6 responses to Pia's win.

1. "Because no one of us voted for Miss Philippines."
Not everyone felt like celebrating Pia's win. Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek certainly wasn't shy about her opinion, even telling a reporter that she was "really not happy with the result and so are the other girls, I'm sorry to say it." Watch her video interview here!

2. "No problem with return of US bases? Ganon?"

There were also those who raised an eyebrow over Pia's answer about US military presence in the Philippines. "I think that the US and the Philippines have always had a good relationship with each other," she said. "We've been colonized by the Americans and we have their culture in our traditions even up to this day. The Philippines is very welcoming with the Americans and I don't see any problem with that at all." This didn't appear to sit well with some of the nation's policy makers including Bayan Muna representative Teddy Casiño and Senator Miriam Santiago, prompting them to tweet (nicely) about it.

3. "I'm Colombian, but Miss Philippines deserves to win."

What happened to Miss Colombia was truly heartbreaking, but that doesn't mean Pia didn't deserve the crown. Just as there are bashers so are there supporters who are not Pinoy.

4. "Anyare?"
Did you turn off the TV as soon as pageant host Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia's win? Then you're probably among those who are still struggling to catch up with what is probably the most controversial win in recent Miss Universe history! Just to give you a recap, watch this!

5. "Meme na 'yan!"
Steve Harvey's booboo is a goldmine for meme lovers and generators everywhere. Minutes after Harvey retracted his announcement, the Internet exploded with some of the funniest memes ever. Are you the type to like and share those memes or are you part of the statistic that actually makes them?

But if you're like most Filipinos, you probably had no words to describe your happiness, just like these folks from Pagadian, Zamboanga Del Sur!
