Founded in 1953, Caritas Manila (then known as Catholic Charities), helps the “least, last, lost” among society through their different programs. Their core programs “are geared toward integral human development, and spiritual and socio-economic development of the poor.” There are many ways to volunteer such as packing goods for the needy, teaching in livelihood trainings, and helping in their feeding programs. Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, Inc.
Whether you’re a doctor, a teacher, a nurse, or a student, you can definitely volunteer here. Operation Blessing Philippines, which just celebrated its 20th year anniversary, conducts medical missions in far-flung areas, provides wells with drinkable water, gives livelihood, and feeds malnourished children.

This organization is focused on children and aims to protect children’s rights, help them meet their basic needs, and broaden their opportunities to reach their maximum potential. From health and nutrition to education–they’ve got it covered. UNICEF Philippines has been serving the Filipino children since 1948 and they want “to provide the best quality of life for every Filipino child through programmes that help them survive and flourish”. How can you be a volunteer? You can be on standby for emergencies or learn more about children’s rights so if ever a child is in potential danger, you’ll know what to do. CARA Welfare Philippines
CARA was formed back in 2000 by a group of animal lovers who are dedicated to helping animals who have either been abused or abandoned by their owners. CARA offers vet consultations for low income pet owners, educates citizens, organizations, and barangays about animal welfare and the rights of animals, and provides caring and responsible homes for rescues.
