One of the benefits of living in a tropical country is the wide variety of fruits available to us. But when it comes to fruity favorites, nothing beats mangoes in the Philippines. The mango is, after all, our national fruit. But while mangoes on their own are absolutely delicious, they can also be incorporated into everyday dishes—with delicious results!

Quick Tip: Choose mangoes that have no black or dark brown spots. The fruit should be firm and a little heavy for its size. When you smell it, it should have that sweet mango scent.
