Three weeks after a powerful tsunami wrecked a huge part of northern Japan, a dog was rescued a mile from shore. A combined group of American and British rescue forces safely brought the dog on board a boat, where the pooch was given a treat. Sensing that he probably was in no danger, the dog proceeded to give his rescuers a kiss.

Reports now say that the dog (who turned out to be female) was reunited with her owner, and they are now living together at an unnamed location.
