When the phrase “girl power” was made popular by the Spice Girls and their contemporaries in the mid-1990s, many women interpreted it as rebelling against male-dominated societal structures, shaking up old belief systems, and being assertively ambitious. Although this strong sense of independence is part of the package, true girl power is not just about being an alpha female. It is also about being fair to others, being comfortable with who you are, and being able to use your power for positive change.
Girl power is inherent in every woman, but there are times when you probably feel that it’s something that only the strong-willed have. Here are a few things you can do to give your inner strength a boost.
