I'm using Faber Castelll classic colored pencils and I really love them.  Now, I'm curious about their watercolor pencils.  If you don't wet them but use them dry instead, what's the difference between watercolor pencils and classic colored pencils?  Darker or deeper colors ba or the same lang?

^^ Tbh medyo tinamad ako mag color dahil sa FB group na yun. Nakaka intimidate e, ang gagaling nila. Parang imbes mainspire ako, negative ang naging effect sakin.

Sabi ng friend ko, to get full use of the pencils, you have to know how to use watercolor to begin with, medyo technical daw gamitin. She does not use coloring books, ayaw nya ng masyadong mechanical art. Free hand sya.

Sis babykat, ive tried using faber watercolor pencils.  If used dry, feeling ko masrough sya than the classic color pencils. In terms of color naman, parang masdark. I suggest if using watercolor pencils, brush with water after coloring para makita effect.

hi mga sis.. i've just started with this hobby.. current favorite is coloring mandalas, as i'm also looking for possible designs for my 2nd and 3rd tatts.. ok sana yung Creative Haven Mandalas, except that hindi ko gusto yung ibang designs where animal and plants were placed in a circular manner (para magmukhang mandala). currently using faber castell 48 classic color pencils art attck 24 color markers. sana makahanap pa ako ng ibang mandala-designs na coloring books.

^ thanks sa info sis!  i checked Fully Booked's website and andun nga yung 2 coloring books that you've mentioned. siguro I need to personally visit the store para makita which is of the 2 is better. from the website kasi, hindi pinapakita kahit ilang pages man lang. 

i tried to join 2 coloring groups in FB. para makakuha ng tips and ideas on coloring schemes.

Ako din sis at first. na intimidate din ako pero later on i learned to brush it off..post lang ako nang post kahit walang masyadong likes. =D

^^ I have bought those two books. Yung kay Gogarty back in Nov 2014 pa then lately yung Magic (nasa Magic series kasi ito). Yung kay Gogarty are all in white background and malalaki ang drawing. It has color meaning pattern with one sided drawing. While yung Mandala Magic has black background in some pages and back to back siya. 

^i was a member on that group too before (not sure bakit me nawala). Magaganda yun mga posts nila and now bihira na rin me magbrowse sa page kasi feeling ko nai-stress ako lalo sa mga artworks nila. I've just continued collecting books and pens kasi marami nang pagpipilian this time. Before kasi yung kay Gogarty (2014) lang ang nakikita ko. And my main purpose of coloring is to lessen my stress and migraine.

Slickchick, you may also want to check out flower mandalas and nature mandalas by Thaneey McArdle. Also mandalas by Jenean Morrison. Both are medyo on the whimsical side so if you're into that, i think you will like these. Di ko din nagustuhan yung creative haven mandalas because of the animals.

I'm still a member of that fb group though bihira na mag post kasi ang dami nang members and may mga nag-aaway din. Medyo nakaka-intimidate nga yung iba pero very helpful naman sila. 😊

^ thanks sis clueless!  do you have an idea sis where can I find these mandala-inspired coloring books? i really prefer the paisley-ish or pattern-ish mandalas, kesa dun sa animals and plants na mandala.. dun ako na-disappoint sa creative haven.. half of the designs are more on plants and animals na inikot lang to make it appear as mandalas.. i let my son color those pages/designs kasi di ko talaga type yung mga ganun mandala designs.. 

^^ thanks sa feedback sis ayanlanz!  mukhang mas preferred ko yung kay Gogarty if malalaki ang drawing and one-sided lang. medyo poor eyesight kasi ako.. hehe.. though i would definitely check yung Mandala Magic kasi baka naman mas maganda yung mandala designs nya..

^ yung kay thaneeya mcardle availanle sa nbs and fully booked. Yung may jenean morrison i havent seen in stores, only sa resellers. Meron sa lazada din.

Mandala magic is nice. I have that also. And yung creative haven na paiselys nice din.

If you're more into patterns, yung patterns + designs ni jenean morrison baka magustuhan mo din. Or groovy abstracts by thaneeya mcardle also.

One of my wishlist for our office exchange gift are coloring books, hehe! Kahit yung tig-P130-150 sa SM happy nako.

I just ordered the Prismacolor Scholar 60 pc set.  Easy lang ba sya isharpen or do i need a special sharpener for them?  I have lang kasi ordinary sharpener and the free one from Faber Castell.
