^sis kung gagastos na rin kayo for a zirconia ring, i think it's much better to just wait for the actual diamond. I'm not a fan of the thought kase na bibili lang for the sake of (in your case para sa pictures). Ang thought kase ng engagement ring whether diamond man yan or ibang gem is the promise to marry.

When we decided to get married, wala din kaming ring. I was totally fine with it. He eventually gave me the ring din, and bonus na lang yun. I will still marry him naman even without the diamond.

For me sis mas worth it mag invest na lang sa diamond kesa gumastos kayo for a 'dummy' ring para sa pictorial. Pero syempre choice nyo pa rin naman yan saken lang hindi sulit maglabas ng 11k for something na sakto lang..

^thanks sis. Will consider that Ang iniisip kong option, kung matutuloy yun zirconia ring, papalitan ko siya ng diamond pag carry na namin bumili ng diamond ring. Pero pero ang isang concern ko nga baka diko na magamit pag nagcocommute Ang hirap sis mag-decide. I am torn kung paiiralin ko yun pagiging practical over my wants.

Hi blackgreen, I agree with simang -- if you just want an engagement ring for pictures, I think 11k is too much for a cubic zirconia ring. You can easily buy CZ and sterling silver rings for a fifth of that price online.

Mahal nga for  a CZ ring. My hubby bought my diamond engagement ring at Marry Me. For me, much better kung ipon muna to have the diamond. Yung 11k pandagdag na lang sis. Or if you want na pangpicture lang, si diamond fire manila sells Cubic zirconia for a cheaper price.

My god 11k is expensive for a cubic zirconia which is as good as fancy lang na jewelry! If you want a real dummy ring dont invest in it and get it nalang sa tiangge. Dont spend 11k on trash!

There are perfectly good diamonds below 100k...I checked out hearts & arrows before, mura lang naman. Parang yung biggest na meron sila is about 0.9 carat for mga 190k ata and that's really pretty na. On another note, kung di pa afford ng fiance mo ng totoong diamond ring, where will he be getting the rest of the wedding budget?? The budget for a house? For a honeymoon? For kids in the future?
Just something to think about.... these are just the primary questions in my head if it happened to me. It's not me questioning his capability, just trying to be logical about it ha. May value kasi sa ating girls talaga ang proposal at ang ring, maybe much more than its value to men. Once in a lifetime lang mangyayri to. Kaya sana they do good on it diba, hindi lang sya parang a nice-to-have part of getting married. Hehe.

^hindi niya kasi sis sparklingjewel priority yun engagement ring. Kasama na sa wedding budget namin yun honeymoon. Yun kids naman kaming 2 magtutulungan. Yun 190k almost half na ng total budget na namin for wedding.

Just sharing, we bought a decoy/ dummy ring for P250. It looks like a real ring and people have thought it's my actual engagement ring. It's as big as a 1.5 carat i think. Nice fake...Lol. I just wear it when i have to go out on fieldwork for the day because it is too perilous to use my real ring then. But all other times if nasa office ako, I wear naman my real ring. Yun lang. I saw it in a bazaar.

It doesn't have to be expensive sis if you will use it for pictorials.. I have seen few SDEs din na wedding rings lang ang kinukunan.. ok lang din if your fiancé thinks it's not practical to spend that much for the e-ring. after all, it's just an engagement ring..a material thing, a piece of gold or silver-- and not a basis for a successful marriage.
