I was 53kg before now im 42kg im a teenager kaya talagang nagpush akong magpapayat. :) Never akong nag running or gym. Then workout 5x a week siguro 20-30mins lang sya. tapos 20mins aerobics. Effective sya and mabilis ang progress. Tyaga tyaga lang :) Ako kasi yung tyan talaga yung pinagtuunan ko ng pansin kaya yung mga workout ko more on pang tyan lang. :)
living life to the fullest! :) :D

Sabi nga ni Venus Raj, 80% daw ng abs is from the kitchen and 20% lang from exercise.  :) So you really should watch what you eat. And if you have to "cheat", in moderation lang para di naman deprived ang pakiramdam mo.

In my experience, kahit na 3x/wk ako mag-work-out, feeling ko malaki pa rin tiyan ko kapag napapadalas ang kain ko ng salty foods (pancit canton, chips) and high-carb/high calorie foods (cakes, pastries). Once I avoided this kind of diet, in 2-3 days, di na bloated pakiramdam ko. :)

mabilis talaga makapagpalaki ng tummy ang sweets for me. kahit once a day lang ako kumain ng rice if napaparami ang kain ko ng chocolate, cakes and cookies lumalapad ang waist line ko :) so madalas if i want to eat sweets sa morning ako kumakain served my energy booster na rin.
bawal ang negative vibes. ♥♥♥

no to sugar, no to fried food, less meat, more fruit and veg and exercise. ang daling sabihin ang hirap gawin. hehe

i watched a documentary about health and they said that its not fat that makes us fat but its the sugar. frustose (sugar derived form corn) is the worst culprit.

Hilig ko talaga ang sweets nakaya ko na pumayat before kaso ang pinaka mahirap is ang umpisa dahil wala ka pa makitang difference sa katawan mo pero once na umpisihan mo na at talagang masigasig ka na no rice, no sweets, no junk foods at soft drinks at makita mo na effect nakaka inspire na magpapayat.

I gave birth 9months ago so struggle ako ngayon to bring back my pre pregnancy weight.

I cut down my rice intake in half, avoid processed food and refined sugar as much as I can (this is the most difficult!), ate more meals but in smaller portions, do plank sets every night (if I skip yoga/capoeira night), ate more fiber and calcium. My tummy got smaller fast, but it doesn't feel like I deprived myself because I still need energy for a lot of physical activity.  Hindi yung payat yung habol ko, I wanted to be leaner but also stronger kasi.  :)

Di ako naniniwala sa no-rice diet. Hinde masyadong maganda ang white rice sa katawan, pero yung brown rice excellent sya for health and fitness. It will keep your cravings at bay, at okay din sya if you want a flatter stomach. Pero syempre, in everything dapat may moderation.

If you want a flatter stomach dapat talaga sobrang restricted ang diet.. ang dapat bawasan yung refined sugar and processed food.

yun nga lang different bodies tayong lahat. of course meron din may mga different conditions as well.

dati noong seryoso ako sa pagbubuhat, 2 cups of rice ako before workout and that's it. it was a trial and error process for me, i started with 1/4 cup.

the reason why brown rice is better than white rice is because of it has retained some of the outer shell (bran). so digestion is slow. time released kumbaga.

but there are better alternatives to brown rice such as black rice or quinoa.

i personally prepare black rice and quinoa as slightly undercooked. why?

sa experience ko

1. residual heat will continue to cook the grains
2. i turn off the heat so that the residual heat will cook the rice up to the point that the bran is not mushy.

kasi if it becomes mushy and soft, then it will be digested almost similarly to white rice.

so having it cooked slightly under cooked (malinamnam pero a little bit firm) well help keep the bran in good condition -- so that it can slow down the digestion process AND be firm enough to clean your digestive tract.

**

one good way to judge your ability to digest and process carbs, is to go on what they call Insulin Restart. dito, you go on a one month no sugar diet. then slowly introduce carbs.

wala pa din tatalo sa complete and balanced diet.

^ wow, thanks for the info akthung! After reading your explanation, well my point ang rationale mo. :)

Insulin restart? nacurious naman ako dito.. Will google it now! ako na ang desperadong, lumiit ang tummy. hahaha..

Black rice din for me. Lesser calories and mas madali akong mabusog kahit 1/2 cup lang.

Akthung: Basta firm naman di ba? I also want my rice firm pero not because of the reason you've mentioned. Hehe. What I do is I just lessen the water. Di ba proportion is 2.5:1? I only use 1.5-2:1.  ;D

Carbs is really important sa diet kaya make sure na meron pa rin to sa diet natin. And wag bigla bigla mashift from high carb diet to high protein diet (and low-no rice diet).

Pag napansin nyong di kayo pumapayat after cutting down your calorie intake, baka may hormonal problem kayo or medical problem especially kahit nag eexercise kayo wala pa din nangyayari.

I like games well played :)
