for me, it's how one carries oneself in a social setting, exuding the right amount of confidence.  it's an inate trait, either you have it or you don't.  for some, it's perceived as having 'good taste' in fashion, not necessarily expensive taste.

When pertaining to material things, I define SOSYAL as something that looks expensive, even when it isn't so. Same with a person decked in tailored clothes that may or may not be expensive, but looks like they spent a lot on it.

who cares... haha! i don't really mind these social categories kung sino sosyal, jolog whatever. just be yourself and some people will loveit, some people won't but at least you are happy with yourself.

Nakakatuwa yung mga comments na 'not palenkera'. Admittedly, may sense naman 'yon. But for me, okay lang rin ang medyo loud na woman and I'd still consider her sosyal kahit may pagka bakya if she carries herself well, her appearance is neat, her clothes are flattering (kahit hindi fashown) and most of all, if she has sense in a conversation. Divine Lee comes to mind. Kahit bakla yang babaeng yan, sosyal yan for me. A sosyal woman doesn't have to have a PhD or anything, but I need to hear sense and intelligence in what she's saying. Hindi rin kailangan English-speaking, although a good command of the language is a must. Ang dami kasing rich nga, branded lahat ng gamit, kaso makitid ang utak at understanding sa mundo.

For me, Georgina Wilson is so sosyal. Hindi pilit. Kahit ata magsuot siya ng mumurahin or just a shirt and pants mukha pa rin siyang sosyal.

yung prof ko sa medschool, ayun as in sosyal and donya talaga. i have yet to see her wear the same jewelry that she wore the last time. tapos kung mag-alahas yun kala ko aattend ng magarbong party or something. as in todo. and that's her everyday jewelry palang. naiisip ko nga pano pa kaya kapag may okasyon na. and lol naiisip ko din siguro di siya tumatawid papuntang ospital kasi lol baka maputol kamay niya sa garbo ng alahas niya.

For me sosyal is yung malinis tignan. Maganda sa mata. Not shouty yung suot. Aminin natin mga sis nakakatuwa pag sinasabihan ka ng "ang sosyal mo naman" tapos alam mong ni isa sa suot mo tiangge lang. Right? If you're pleasant to the eyes at may confidence kang bitbit na hindi umaapaw, Sosyal tignan.

Share ko lang this annoying friend of mine na lahat ng branded bags ay bigay lang sa kanya either ng kamag anak abroad or family ng asawa nya abroad. She's jobless and ultimate tambay sa bahay. Lagi nya bukambibig yung word na "sosyal". Gusto nya pag sinabi yang word na yan sya agad pasok. Ganito nya idefine ang sosyal:

1. Havaianas slippers and lv bag
2. Havs slipper or anything branded na bag nya.

Short and tshirt.

Yan lang dalawang bagay na yan ang sosyal for her. Minsan nga hindi pa sya napapasok sa osang building sa BGC dahil sa kapasosyalan nya. Haha bawal daw kasi nakashort. And guess what amo sabi nya? Bakit kayaaaa.. Lv namana bag ko ha?

I honestly laugh inside pag obssess sa "mamahaling brand" pero kung magsalita naman ang tigas ng boses and taklesa ang tone.

For me, sosyal is understated elegance...refined luxury. Yun tipong di na nya kelangan ipaglandakan na sosyal sya because you can tell from the way she behaves or treats people.
