For me, sosyal is understated elegance...refined luxury. Yun tipong di na nya kelangan ipaglandakan na sosyal sya because you can tell from the way she behaves or treats people.

Exactly! For me, someone who is tagged as "sosyal" is an individual who does not try hard to prove something.

I just want to know your thoughts on this. I know someone who is brand-conscious but we eventually learned that she is buried in debt.  She has not paid her credit card bills and her delinquent accounts hindered her promotion at work.

For me, a person who spends beyond his/her means cannot be called "sosyal" but a trying hard social climber. Do we have the same thoughts?

^ super agree, sis! Pa-sosyal ang tawag jan. Living beyond your means that you care too much about showing off. Definitely not sosyal behavior.

sosyal is an aura that one exudes with their personality, material possessions, lifestyle, and even looks. One can't fake it and if you try to, you are a pa-sosyal or a social climber

This is wayyy too pa-sosyal! Kasalanan na to! hahaha

For me, sosyals can wear anything from tiangge kind of clothes and still looks so elegant and fab. Some girls kasi wear branded clothes but when they talk, OMG!

IMO, the aura of class is the first thing. And a decent not-cheap stuff come along. Yeah gretchen in really sosyal. Agree.

I think sis aquacharly is referring to the wife of Danding.

Or this is just me because I don't think Gretchen is susyal. O well opinion lang po.

Kutis pa lang alam na sino susyal or mayaman talaga. they call it kutis mayaman. And yes breeding rin. I am just a plebeian but when I see susyal with class  and breeding I know they are the genuine susyal in truest sense of the word.

Feeling ko ang sosyal eh nag-start sa good skin. Kahit hindi branded ang suot mo (eh di naman nakalabas ang etiketa ng damit mo di ba).. basta maganda skin mo as in flawless.. mukha ka ng sosyal. hehe. May guy friend kasi ako dati na nagrereklamo na kahit daw ang mahal ng suot niyang shirt, walang naniniwala na mahal ang bili niya. Haha! Eh pano kako ang dumi ng balat niya, mukha kasi siyang yagit kaya siguro walang maniwala na mahal mga gamit niya. Lol!
