Ang hindi sumunod, di makakapasok hehe chos!

sis i was seriously considering this!! kung pwedeng i-ask sa mga coordinators to make the pasaways leave pag d sunod sa dress code! haha sobrang mean ba? or kahit wag na lang sumama sa pictures. especially kung plus one lang ;)

sorry if its too mean to say. for me lang kasi, we prepare a lot and spend all this money and all they have to do is attend and follow the dress code. if its too hard eh di dont attend na lang.

Sa invites namin ito yung nilagay namin:

Attire

Long sleeves and dark pants for males
Knee-length or long formal dresses for females
No mini-skirts, jeans and white attire

I did not state "formal" kasi iba iba ang connotation ng mga pilipino sa formal attire.

Long sleeves ang minimum requirent ko sa guys pero sa site, i said kung may suit sila, it would be much better. Sa girls naman knee length ang minimum requirement pero sabi ko the longer the dress, the better.Sa website i made a wedding attire dos and donts.

Wedding attire i placed in the invitation was black suit and tie for guys, then long formal gown for girls. Pati rsvp text blast from my coordinator included what to wear. I had some female friends and relatives who texted me to ask if pwede daw black cocktail dress if in case wala sila makita na long gown. My guests know im strict sa attire and super pet peeve ko ang hindi sumunod sa dress code. Some even vibered me the photo of what they planned to wear para may approval Ko. In the end, ang ganda ng wedding photos because everyone looked amazing in their formal wear.

I am also considering this! My invitation is not too formal so I would be able to get away with this. I will also have 3 color palettes for my wedding and will also include it in case there are friends and relatives who wants to follow the dress code.

Pag nag white gown or even cocktail dress --- hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko! I swear! :D

hi mga sis.. may suggestions ba kayo how to put it them in words na maganda tingnan.. sakin kasi hindi naman formal masyado , kahit simple dress lang, meron din kasi mga oldies na gusto naka slacks lang, hindi ko alam kung paano ko icoconstruct. ayoko naman na hindi sila makapunta dahil hesitant sila sa outfit nila

pero our sisses here might be able to put up better ones. :)

Suggestion:

You've got style! Yeah! We love it!
But this event is not for rugged jeans and rubber shoes nor slippers.
Please avoid it. (wink)

^sis juwie, that's exactly what i'll do.. i will ask moki to illustrate the proper attire on my invites para may guide. pero kahit ngayon pa lang, im telling them na about the long gown attire.. si mommy ko din medyo fuzzy about sa attire sa wedding kaya isa sya sa taga spread ng gusto kong mangyari.

Hello sis belle_v2g! You're getting Moki pala, actually I got the idea from her FB page dun ko yun nakita :) I agree na better yun sis.

we had a friend who wore a white dress in one of our barkada's wedding and up to now inaasar pa din sha about it  :P that's one of the things talaga na nabi-bring up everytime we reminisce about weddings  ;D

in our case naman naka indicate na sa wedding invites namin na strictly formal and then we asked our family and friends to spread the word.  Kinausap na din ng fiance ko yung barkada nya (who initially planned on wearing rubber shoes and jeands :o) and asked all of them to wear slacks and polo and they agreed naman  :)  My fiance's mom was worried bakit daw strict sa attire.. and ano daw gagawin pag may naka-pants, to which my fiance flat out said "Ay hindi ko papapasukin sa venue! Ibibilin kong huwag papasukin"  ;D and this got my MIL more worried haha! alam kong nagbibiro lang si fiance pero ang katwiran nya sa mom nya, kung hindi sila pupunta dahil lang sa dress code then maigi na rin yun, and that means they don't really deserve to be invited in the first place  ;D haha yes i have a semi-groomzilla fiance lol! ;D

We had a white wedding. We requested our guests to wear white. We kept reminding our guests sa fb, text and call. Nakakasad lang na may mga pasaway talaga. Out of 170 guests may mga 5 people ang hindi nagfollow.

Just wondering, is this a part of the pinoy culture na dedma
Lang pagdating sa codes/instructions?

my opinion: I think culture na rin. I think same thing with being on time. Mga Pinoy pag late parang feeling pa nila okay lang and "cool" sila kasi late. As they say "fashionably late". I think same with dress codes.
Filipinos tend to think that not following the rules is "cool". Sorry guys this is my opinion lang naman and I do not mean to offend anyone. Lol.

I think this is most prominent in the provinces (but also happens in Manila). I think it's either part of the culture na or uneducated lang talaga what the dress codes mean. Some think that their semi formal is already formal. Hehe

^would it be fine sis na formal ang ilagay namin since baka pag semi formal isipin pwede na yung jeans na denim talaga,. Nako, sana walang pasaway at sana mag effort naman kahit papano.

Ah, i have the opposite concern.  I want the ladies to wear summer maxi dresses sana since ours is summer evening garden wedding and i want a relaxed vibe lang. I thought di na ko magkakaproblem.

But no, some guests want to wear long gown and heels! Huwat! I'm making life easier and they want it complicated.  Payn.
