I'm currently using belo sunblock for the face. I don't why pero hindi sya naabsorb ng skin ko evenly. I sweat easily kasi and no matter how I pat it down or spread it or kahit sa tapat pa ng fan - mainit/warm sya sa face so pinapawisan ako sa kanya

Used this too, di masyado effective. Ginamit namin sa hike, paguwi ko sa bahay, parang wala din akong gamit na sunblock sa itim ng face ko. hayyy

^yes sis pwede mag makeup after sunblock. Problem is many sunblocks make foundation application blotchy, or uneven. But there are some that are good to use with makeup. Especially Japanese sunblock

I love the ff:

-Belo Medical Prescriptions Sunblock Gel (Perfect for acne prone)
-Spectraban
-Neutrogena Utra Sheer Sunscreen
-Biore UV MIlk (Japanese)

You can also use Neutrogena's Oil Free Moisturizer WITH SPF

I'm using VMV Armada, the one with SPF 70, grabe ang oily sa face ko. I'm always hulas pag gamit ko to, but it really does protect my face kahit gano pa ka-init.

Same here. I ended up using it on my arms and legs instead. Really effective but noticeable talaga yung shine. Hindi pa yung masasabi mong dewy. Dewy, I can deal with. Halos greasy na yung effect sa akin.

Question: How does Biore compare with Anessa or Allie? Same lang ba, or is it more watery?

Also, what is the name and location of that store in Legaspi Village near Makati Med that sells Biore Sunscreen? What Street?

Thanks so much!!

Hi TS,

Choose a sun block with higher SPF, for better protection. A dermatologist friend of mine suggests one that has more than SPF 50.

Feel free to read this for the pros and cons:

Depends on which Biore sunblock. Some seem to have more alcohol than others. Yung ibang Biore, sa sobrang taas ng alcohol content, ma-f-feel mo nag-eevaporate sa skin, haha.

TPE Marketplace, Dela Rosa Street, at the back of Burgundy Tower. The SPF48+++ is 280 lang, the Perfect UV Face Milk is 480.

tried Obagi360 sunblock.  Ok sya since moisturizer na din.  and hindi mainit sa face and most of all does not break me out.

^ I like the Php 280 (blue bottle), di mataas yung alcohol. Kaso I can't tell if it'll be enough for you. I assume you have a light skin tone coz you get freckles. I don't get darker with that one even if I regularly use tretinoin... Pero I don't use it kapag mag-bbeach, pang everyday lang.

^Also using the same.  Watson's singapore had a buy one get one promotion of Hada Labo UV whitening emulsion (2 for SGD28 = PHP 944).  What I love about hada labo UV SPF is its silicone based and has zinc oxide as the sunscreen ingredient.  One bottle lasts for almost 10 months on my case and I apply generously.

Aside from above, I also use Avene very high protection spf 50.  I bought it at a Guardian sale for SGD 55 for 200 ml.  Its mainly for body but since it is for sensitive skin, i apply it liberally on my face.

Here's a good blog on how to choose the best sunscreen:

Buti pa kaya hiyang sa hada labo uv whitening emulsion kasi pag ginagamit ko ito ang oily nang face ko hindi pwede na hindi ako maglagay nang powder/foundie kaya obagi or vmv na lang ginagamit ko para kahit hindi na ako mag powder/foundie.

^Sis, pag mainit ang panahon mag oily talaga sha pag wala bb cream (for oily face) + face powder kasi the product is for hydration.  The good thing with the product is meron sya silicone kaya madaling lagyan ng powder or bb cream on top.

^Actually sis, based on what I read.  There's no such thing as nasobrahan kasi ang suggested application of sunscreen is half a teaspoon (3 ml) on the face.    Also, makeups with SPF are not enough.
