^for me i think it's effective. i attended latch seminar at TMC before giving birth. im now on my way to 10months ebf.

^^ For me it's very effective. I also attended LATCH seminar in TMC. I believe it's the best thing that every pregnant woman should have-- apart from all the material things one should prepare for the baby.
For one mom to be successful in breastfeeding, EDUCATION is the key step. Afterall, the seminar is free, where you can be accompanied by your support group (husbands, in-laws, yayas).

Thank God for all the breastfeeding advocates who run this kind of program.

The breastfeeding seminars are effective so long as you are 100% determined to breastfeed.  If you believe you can do it and you are totally committed to doing this for your baby, you will greatly benefit from the seminar.

If you are, however, skeptical about your ability (have issues about your breast size, health/work/timing/practicality issues,  or any other reason that will make you doubt if you can do it sustainably), do not have a strong support group (husband/in-laws/parents/doctors/the yaya believe formula is better, your doctors are not knowledgeable about breastfeeding) and do not want to fully commit ("let's see if I can do it/I want to try/I think I can do it naman"), then no seminar will be good enough.

^ +1. if not for my willingness to attend those seminars aside from doing some online readings and some books (and pestering my husband to attend seminars), i don't think i'll be able to successfully breastfeed my son until now. take note that we're based overseas pa so kami lang talaga ni hubby toka kay baby even when i gave birth. kung gusto, may paraan as what they say

8 weeks old na si baby.  humihingi sya ng milk every 1 1/2 or 2 or 2 1/2 or 3 hours.  tama ba ito?

Natuwa na sana ako, kasi nakakapaglatch na son ko sa left side, madalas kasi sa right side nakakukuha ako tamang position, kaso nagsugat na nga, kaninang umaga, pinalatch ko kay baby, di na gaano masakit siguro kasi kagabi ko pa pinapump.. Then after i noticed may blood, nagdugo nipple ko, tapos after 3 hours, bigla nagvomit si baby, may kasamang namuong blood, takot na takot ako, sabi ni hubby baka daw sa nainom niyang blood mula sa akin, kaya pagdating ni hubby dalhin namin sa doctor para mapacheck si baby

Sisses meron na ba sa inyong mag-take ng augmentin while breastfeeding? Ok lang ba ito? Sabi ng OB ko ok lang daw kaya lang may nabasa ako sa internet na hindi daw kasi humahalo sa milk and may side effect sa baby. Gusto ko sana makarinig based on experience. Thanks!

^i used augmentin while bfeeding when i just gave birth. i checked lactmed and it's generally safe.

Hello sisses Plan ko rin magbreastfeed after I give birth. Nasa 2nd trimester palang kami ni baby. So glad to have found this thread. Backread muna ako para marami ako matutunan:)

sis marssie, have you brought baby to the doctor yet?  ano sabi?  naalala ko kasi before, nag-bleed both nips ko.

^ yes sis, he was admitted in the hospital for 5 hours for observation while waiting for the result, binigay ko kasi sa kanila yung sample ng blood na nakuha, and yun nga, galing nga sa akin yung blood na yun, natakot kasi ako kasi buo sya na dalawang piraso, then my sister pressed it may fresh blood inside. Awang awa ako sa baby ko, dahil sa akin naadmit tuloy, ang liit liit pa naman niya. Kaya since yesterday pump nalang muna ako ng pump, at di ko pinapadede sa may cracked na nipple, sometimes naooffer ko sa kanya yung other breast ko, pero nagbaback up ako ng bottle na may pumped milk.

^thanks sis  ginawa ko nga at mukhang effective habang nagpapump ako, nagdadrop ako ng breastmilk, then after palmers cream naman, kanina wala ng makirot kaso hesitant pa rin ako offer kay baby, by sunday na siguro.. Natatakot pa kasi talaga ako.

^^^ okay lang naman sis kung di nagvomit si baby mo nothing to worry about, kasi sabi either isuka nga niya yung blood or sumama pag nagpoops niya, yung sa akin kasi after two hours tsaka nagvomit and buo kasi na medyo malaki yung lumabas kaya ako nagpanic.. Natatawa nga kapatid ko kasi ang comment ko paglabas, "anak, liver mo ba to" kasi mukha siyang liver sa tingin ko, yung liver ng baboy parang ganon siya na maliit lang..

^ that's good to know dont wash your nipples with soap ha, normal shower lang where water runs through your breasts...

Just continue to put breastmilk on your cracked nipple & air dry

^that happened to me before, cracked nips din ang cause but my baby didn't have any vomiting naman that time. don't worry, breastfeeding will get easier as time goes. your nipples will get used to it din eventually. enjoy every breastfeeding moment with your son

Ah talaga, so okay pala ang Daphne talaga sa mga brestfeeding moms. All along akala ko delikado yun, possible ba na mabuntis pa rin ang babae kahit wala pa isang taon baby, alam ko kasi nag stop menstruation ng girls for one year pag nanganak eh, so dapat di ba stop ovulation nun? If ganun, kelangan pala talaga mag pills din just to be sure.
