@keanne, good luck to us... It's my 20th day today, never experienced hunger pangs pero ang temptations and cravings kaloka!  Tip lang sa pag buy ng meat, I found out na it's easier to buy ground beef and ground chix breast kesa sa sliced/fillet, hirap isakto sa prescription weight and food pag sliced eh, I usually end up having 1 fillet and few dots of meat just to get the right amount of meat weight. (weird tignan...  ;D)  buy balsalmic vinegar too, it does help make the food tasty and yummy. And kinumpleto ko lahat ng mc cormick spices para maka experiment ka ng different taste sa food mo. ;)

Hay... true at the temptations! I have a super sweet tooth kasi so that's the biggest sacrifice for me. So my mindset na lang is I can eat those things in due time so tiis muna now. :) Thanks for the tip regarding buying meat... I find myself also putting bits lang just to make the weight right. And I have to agree... spices are what makes our food great-tasting so thank goodness, they're allowed!

Just got back from my vacation. The bad part is I gained 5lbs because of a few days deviation. Ngek! But the very good news is I went a dress size smaller pa! I lost some inches particularly on my waist, hips, and thighs. I can't explain it but siguro it's all the walking/hiking I've been doing somehow toned my lower extremities. As of now I was able to lose the 3lbs of the 5lbs I gained.

I'll be going to the clinic next week to get my refeed meal plan.

 :)

5 lbs ain't too bad.. I've read horror stories of how others gained 10 to 15 lbs on vacation. Kaya tuloy I'm dreading my Christmas vacation as I won't be able to cook and prepare my meals. And for sure, the temptations will come aplenty.

hi! i'm on my 4th week and have lost 14 pounds! : )

i'm starting to believe though that this is more of an extremely low calorie/low fat diet - not really blood chemistry (marketing effect). but it has worked, there are quick results, i don't feel that hungry, so it's great! : ) i wouldn't have believed that i would lose this much in so short a time.

btw, there's new research that introducing fat in the diet is actually good for losing weight. also, that artificial sweetener (which dr cohen recommends) actually leads to more weight gain. so parang old school pa ang dating ng cohen diet. but if it works, fine!

i'm actually deviating a little and eating cheese everyday but it hasn't slowed down the weight loss. i already feel fuller and don't need to eat crackers anymore.

my tita got disapproved... sayang! she has high hopes pa naman sa program.

Why? kadalasan may diabetes or may problem sa liver, kidney and heart.

At least di mukhang pera si Dr. Cohen di tangap lang ng tangap ng clients.

she stated na may heart enlargement sya, but she was asked to have a clearance from her cardio, which she gave together with the blood test result.  The cardio even said that it would be helpful for her... pero disapprove pa rin.

@ achengtarush, congratulations! graduate ka na. Keep us posted sa maintenance mo ha. ;D

@ mamasqueak, ano kinain mo sa vacation mo?  did you eat carbs like rice, bread, pastas, noodles?  or just a bigger amount of cohen food?  I have a scheduled trip kasi sa china and hk for 7days sa november, am planning what to do with my food there.  I don't think people there will be accommodating to me if i'll be requesting weird thing like weighing my food first before they cook it.  How long did it take to loose the 5lbs you gained? did you use your old program kaya you're loosing weight? Sorry ha, daming questions...  :P

@melmedrano, didn't they informed your tita what specific reason kung bakit siya nareject?  nung nag enroll ako may kasabayan akong may heart problem din, and she got a clearance from her cardio, tinangap naman siya.  I think your tita might have other problem, baka may nakita pang ibang prob sa kidney and liver.  I hope they gave her a clearer explanation.

@keanne, how much do you need to loose?  ako kasi 45lbs, I'm 34yo, 5'4", 7.5shoe size, target weight daw for me is 114-119lbs.  Hayz, I can't remember the last time i'm in this weight, parang grade school pa ata ako nun.

@amberstar, I need to lose 75 lbs so a loooong way to go pa. Same as you, the goal weight they're giving me is something that I have not seen in my teenage or adult life.  :-\ Anyway, I'm not in a hurry naman. Slowly but surely.  ;)

I had some carbs, yes. Di mapigilan din kasi eh. But everything was controlled, in moderation. Tipong patikim-tikim lang to satisfy the craving.  I just make sure after my deviation, I go back to the meal plan. I mostly had salads, yun yung pinaka madali kasi. I get my supplies at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Then yung poultry ko is mostly turkey.

@achengtarush, inuna ko na yung refeed eh :P, i need something to look forward to ;), honestly it helped me in a way.  At least i know what the reward is after the eating plan :)  and glad to say it will be fun pala after the strict eating plan.  I thought i'll be eating like this forever, hindi naman pala.
