Hi sis! CSA alumni here. I highly recommend sending your kids there. Mataas ang standards nila kaya high percentage of kids passing the college entrance exams of the top 3 universities. Holistic education din, kaya hindi lang puro academics, marami rin extra curricular. They recently renovated the school, including the gym, covered courts and classrooms. Pero most importantly, your kids will find their life long friends there! Ü

^hi sis, would you know how much ang fees for kinder sa CSA? Thinking of enrolling my kid there in preparation for grade school

Learned a lot from this thread, Our family is moving from Tondo, Manila to Pasay(near Makati) so Im scouting for possible kinder schools for next AY. I want him to start with big school experience na cos he will be Grade1 by SY2015-16. He needs to be able to learn how to read already. Here's my shortlist so far:
- St. Mary's Academy Pasay: I'm an SMA alum (GS&HS) so this is my immediate choice. Already inquired and tuition for prep/kinder is 44k exclusive of uniform. Im not sure though if quality of teaching is still top-notch kaya im still looking for options.
- Don Bosco Makati: also considering this, but hesitant because it's exclusive boys school. Anyone knows how much tuition fee here?
- Colegio de San Agustin: been hearing nothing but raves. how much is tuition here?

Any recommendations, mommies? TIA!

hi sisses, CSA mom here also.. we love csa! CSA forever!  .. they are really organized, my son is doing well here.. we love the school, the students, the teachers and Fr. Rodriguez.. the tf is a bit pricey for preschool, lesser na in gradeschool.. but it's super sulit I tell you..

the prob is, I want to send my daughter in AC (assumption college) in makati but hubby wouldnt agree, ayaw nya paghiwalayin kids namin.. maganda din kasi reviews sa AC.. pati gusto ko maiba naman environment, 4 yrs na kami sa CSA.. 

I am a St Paul Makati alumna.. may mga hindi ako nagustuhan, and so with my siblings na Paulinians din..

Purplelime: nursery is around 90k+, i guess kinder is almost the same price rin. Not sure if this includes their books and field trip fee kasi my son is nursery included na lahat yun. please feel free to call them and pa connect ka sa accounting dept. so they can assist you rin

Any idea on the type of entrance exam Assumption is giving for incoming Grade one? Do I need to enroll my daughter to a review class in order to pass? TIA

^^^usually talaga first option natin sa school ng anak ay kung saan school galing ang parents sis. Ganyan rin kasi nag-guide sa akin nun pumili ako ng school.

Aside sa CSA at AC, ano pa kaya ang ok na school sa makati?

@chicafabulosa: thanks for the headsup! I will most likely contact them early early next year for inquiries and admission requirements, I was just curious if I should include them in the running based on costs. By far, it is the most expensive pero kaya naman (i think! :0)

@stormy: been hearing good things about Makati Hope Christian School, too.

Sure no probs. kasi first come first serve sila. As for kinder alam ko mas priority nila naman old students. Kaya better inquire now para in case makasave ka ng slot for your child.

@purplelime, hindi naman masyado malaki difference ng tuition and fees ng CSA sa don bosco (ikaw ba sis yun asking magkano sa don bosco?) Nasa 73k -76k depende sa payment scheme ang GR1 nila (yun nga lang wala yata sila pre school). Kaya, kaya naman yan csa if ever dyan mapasok baby mo, don't worry

@stormy, yes ako din yun. nako super thanks for all the help, i shall personally visit the schools as my next step. Since DonBosco has no prep, di ko muna sya consider kasi turning 5y/o pa lang my son next year and he still cannot read a lot of words. thanks ulit!

ganyan din kami sis noon, i googled then nag inquire kami ni hubby with our son (para ma feel nya kung saan nya gustong environment, he was 4 yo then)..we had our top 3.. actually 4 sana, included ang IS sa may the fort, kaso ayaw ni hubby, sabi nya, ano yon, hindi na tayo kakain?!  so we went to CSA, CSR (colegio de sta rosa) and don bosco all in makati..

sa don bosco they accept 6 yo up, so no na.. and nahirapan kami sa parking and parang nasikipan kami, ang layo ng nilakad namin kasi sa kabilang gate pa pala registrar's ofc nila..pero maganda ang turo sa don bosco bec i have friends na magagaling from that school.. dun ko sana talaga gusto..

then CSR, coed ang preschool nila, then you have to transfer (if boy) to another school para mag gradeschool.. hindi ko masyadong feel, ayoko ng palipat lipat, nahirapan kami sa parking..though friendly ang staffs na andon when we inquired..may seminars pa daw ang parents etc.. average naman ang tf.. ok lang..

then last, sa CSA, pagpasok pa lang namin, super luwag na, and my son, nakita nya agad soccer field, napa wow sya.. no prob sa parking (no classes ata when we went there) then very accommodating naman si ms rosales (preschool sec, i guess) then papunta na kami sa parking, nakasalubong namin si fr. rodriguez, short conversation lang, that time hindi pa namin siya kilala.. so usap kami hubby, parang mas ok CSA (though sya yung pinka mahal sa 3 schools) and baka positive sign din yung nakausap namin yung pari.. kaya yon, the ff week, sched na for interview our son..

Ay true sis jenger, Father Rodriguez made us decide nga to transfer our decision. When we had our short conversation with him, my son had an instant connection with him. Aba sumama agad son ko sa kanya haha... Tsaka my son loves the environment agad.

But aside from that my son learns a lot from school (academic and values) At his age (turning 4 this Dec), he always remind us to pray before we eat and sleep. Sya ang nagle lead. And super touched ako kasi they really instill sa kids yung value of helping others. My kid when he saw the earthquake sabi nya agad sa akin look mommy the churches and houses are broken... So i asked him what do you want us to do. He said let us help. Teacher Cha said we need to help people who are in need. Kaya ayun nagpabili sa daddy nya ng mga pangdonation sa bohol and cebu.

omg sis chikafabulosa, are u pertaining to ms. cha camara?! she's my son's adviser in nursery.. he loves ms camara sooo much! next to ms bondoc who is so loving din.. you'll meet plenty of nice teachers there sis, as in.. hindi naman natin super love ang CSA sis.. i guess, tayo rin ang magkausap sa thread ng CSA..

as to academics and values, I couldnt agree more sis..

Ay yeah sis sya nga yung adviser ng son ko. Naku my son misses her nga if shes absent eh yeah tayo rin nag uusap dun haha..

Also he loves teacher Lara..
