joining...mga sis, feedback naman on the following schools:

CSR Rockwell - I heard okay daw
CSA - my daughter passed the exam already and it is very convenient in terms of location. However, medyo we think twice on the tuition fee, may mid year adjustment pa daw, of course other miscellaneous like uniforms, books, etc.
St. Scholastica - okay sana except for the location (we live in Pque btw)
Manresa - Okay din kaso sana airconditioned yung mga rooms...pawisin kc daughter ko and syempre mas makaka-concentrate sila if okay yung room temperature...just my POV
St. Paul - okay ba? i heard it's a small school just like CSR?

^ If you're referring to St. Paul Makati, yes, it's a small school compared to the other campuses. My brothers and I all came from St. Paul. It's one of the St. Paul's na coed kasi. Nung time namin (a long long time ago), what I loved about it was that they really tried to instill value formation and maganda ang relationship ng parents with the teachers and staff down to the ice cream man in the campus. Magkakilala and you can trust them.
Traditional lang nga talaga siya. It's one of the schools I'm considering for my son pero siguro pag gradeschool na siya. Medyo na-shock lang ako to hear from one of the parents na kinder students also have quarterly exams. Parang ayaw ko ng ganoon for my son.
Would anyone know of a progressive preschool with grade school in Makati? I'm weighing my options kasi kung sa St. Paul ko ienroll ang son ko or I'll look for a progressive school for him. May kalikutan and kakulitan kasi ang son ko so I feel that he would thrive more in a progressive school.

i recommend CLC or Child Learning Center. they are Reposo, Makati.
My eldest studied there while my son is in kinder now and as expected, he's very happy.
Im super satisfied from lessons (advance sila), to environment to teachers even up to the school aids.

Also, what type of teaching method do they use? Progressive, montessori or traditional?

Just wanted to share that my son recently went on his first field trip... and it was such a relaxed experience for us parents who tagged along. Some even brought their entire families and chillax lang talaga because the kids gravitated towards one another and played nice all day... I didn't hear any screams except when the kids caught a fish. As in. No fights needed to be refereed, they policed each other... and while eating, the teachers regaled us lang with stories about our kids.

It was a truly rewarding time... I really have nothing but raves for St. Michael Playhouse... kasi these kids are between 2-5 years old but they're really so well-behaved together   You can see that whatever they do in school really works.

May marerefer pa ba kayo non-traditional schools for grade school mga mommies, preferred ko schools near Buendia or Zobel Roxas until Makati Avenue. TIA

My daughter goes to CSR Rockwell. So far they seem okay. About 24 lang sila sa class and natututukan naman each kid. Marami din silang clubs and programs although they didn't have UN day and Halloween (talagang ito hinanap ko no?). My daughter is also more confident and independent now. Ayaw na nga mag-pasama sa yaya nya sa school bus. Their subjects/lessons I think are fit for their age. Not too advanced and not too late. Every card issuance, may mga seminars either parenting or marriage counseling. I've also raised some small issues recently and mabilis naman nilang naaksyunan. She's in prep so not sure if okay pa din sila pag Grade school na. I think  mas maraming students pag grade 1 din.

We've also considered Manresa because coed sya and since we are also from Pque. The rooms din were my problem before and when we went there for student/parent interview, napakainit so I wondered if mahirapan magstudy mga kids if early summer time. But thinking about it now, it shouldn't be a big deal. I would still consider them. In fact, up to now I'm still torn whether I'll go for coed or all girls.  Masaya pa kasi sya sa CSR with all her girlfriends so for now, wala pa kami balak siya ilipat.

Hi purple_bear_hugs, kinder 1 and 2, based from their magazine - less than 20 students. Colegio de Sta. Rosa (http://csr-makati.edu.ph/) is very near Rockwell katabi mismo ng Palm Village. You can call them for tuition fees but for prep, more or less Php68k + 4k for books.

maybe you can check out Summit School in the Fort area,and Everest school...these 2 schools are right next to each other behind the Victory Christian Fellowship building...

I went to check out both schools in preparation for when my little girl will go to big school...ifirst visited Everest school,their campus looks impressive and clean plus the fact that they only have around 150 students for the entire population...i was entertained well,and someone showed m e around the school  and they even gave me an info packet,and a bar of chocolate with their own school wrapper to entice my daughter...They prefer that a child be around 6 yo or older when they enroll...since my daughter is only 3 yrs old and currently enrolled in a progressive pre-school nearby,i might consider this in the near future...some people say this school is comparable to Beacon school..kaya lang since bago pa lang sila,wala pa masyado track record...

In Summit naman,mabait din yung teachers who showed me around their school grounds...medyo homey ang dating ng school na to,and i think progressive din yung approach nila...they even have a small backyard where the kids can plant their own veggies or flowering plants.plus they have something like an animal petting station,with chicken,birds etc...

i love this! i'm in search for schools but so far di pa nag-eexam or interview daughter ko. she's turning 4.5 yrs old by june and she doesn't want to go to the schools with me to have her interview. hay. so gusto ko pag sinama ko siya matutuwa siya sa experience niya. thanks for the info! we'll school-hunt next week.
