Pre-school/Gradeschool in Makati

I tried to see if my son is indeed not good in reading so I tried the nearby Montessori school na much cheaper (30k).

Ano po name ng School na yan and address? naghahanap kasi ako cheaper montessori.thanks.

Hello sisters,

Late na ko on this topic, May na ngayon pa lang ako naghahanap.  Please help me choose, here are my options and pros and cons ng schools for me

KIDS - I think medyo malayo siya for my 3 yo, since we live in Guadalupe and this is San Antonio Village, and hindi na open ang Nursery class nila, Toddlers class daw pwede siya, but they have intro to writing and reading naman daw.

SMART READER - same, medyo malayo, plus walang sumasagot sa phones nila! err! hindi pa ako actually nakakapaginquire, have to go there in one of my breaks.  Problem ko dito they were closed 2010 according sa mga sisters here, bakit? hindi ba stable?  I don't want to stress my boy na maglipat lipat ng environment before he is actually exposed to big schools.

IMC(Integrated Montessori Center) - Eto sobrang lapit sa amin, good feedbacks naman pero namamahalan ako sa 50,700 Junior Casa 1 level,  Okay lang naman for me to pay this much for my son's education but is it really worth it?  How is it compared to International Schools that's 20k-30k more expensive, but I would gladly pay for with that kind of education they're giving.  Plus ang pangit ng schedule 11:00-1:30,, nap time ng baby ko hehe..

I have 2 kids, a 4yo daughter and a 21-month old son.  My daughter is studying in a big school already here in Makati.  Prior to that, at 18 months, we sent her to the Saturday Toddler Classes in Toddlers Unlimited in Alabang. Then, when she was 2.5 years old, we enrolled her for 3x a week classes at Childstart International in Paseo. At 3.5 years old, she got in an all girls school (my old school) here in Makati also.  She was a bit young for Kinder 1 but pinayagan naman and she was never behind academically as K1.  I just enrolled my son for the toddler class at Toddlers Unlimited in Makati for this coming June.  It will be his first ever class.  I like both TU and CSI.  I think they prepared my daughter well.  But she has always been "ahead" specially with her verbal/language skills.  She is not a "reader" too, but in her big school, prep pa ata yun.  I enrolled her kasi in Kumon this summer. They started her sa very beginning ng reading program kasi ahead daw sya sa math but not in english.

Ako rin po i need help. My daughter did not pass sa school na gusto ko sana. Pero I enrolled her sa summer nila. But then may narinig ako negative feedback sa school na yun so i'm planning to scout school ulit. We lived in Brgy. Rizal Makati. Sa may waterlily st. yung school na un. Anyone knows kung ok talaga dito. Cursive writing na daw kasi sila dito for grade 1 eh yung anak ko di pa marunong non. Pati raw yung reading niya di pa ganun kabilis at di pa siya magaling sa comprehension

I am planning muna to sent her for assessment ulit sa LICS sa Pasig kasi dati ko [textspeak!] school ito. May na I really need to find a school. Di ko naman kaya sa sobrang mahal na school...

^mura ba sa LICS sis? Mas mura pa yata ang PCC. Pero pasig yan schools na yan akala ko taga makati ka, pasensya na d ko alam kasi saan ang bgy Rizal. Pero kahit dito sa place namin malapit na rin ang pasig. Goodluck sis sa paghahanap,malapit na ang pasukan.

actually magiinquire pa lang ako sa lics. Opo makati kami pero malapit sa taguig,pateros at pasig na rin. baka magkalapit lang [textspeak!] ah kasi malapit din samin yung namention na montessori dito. sana makahanap na nga ko.

mga sis pa help naman. i'm looking for a non sectarian eclectic type of teaching method preschool near our area. malapit kami sa LRT station Gil puyat so anywhere in buendia pasay or makati area, in palanan makati, and taft ave. up to UN ave. area will do, ok lang kung medyo papasok basta they offer a school service para di mahirapan yung bata in case umuulan. range is 25-45K. TIA

sis, super worth it sa IMC... regarding schedule, for JC1, they have 8-1030, 11-1:30, 2-4:30...

Yes, I heard many good feedbacks from IMC so just last Saturday, I enrolled my son for their JC1, unfortunately, yung 11am -130pm na lang daw ang JC1 nila, so now, we are trying to change my sons sleeping patterns already.  2PM na ang start ng nap niya.. =) I'm so excited to bring my son to school already, ang dami ko ng nilist na bibilhin for school..Thanks so much!

Hi mga Sis! ihahabol ko anak ko sa IMC, we're in transition kasi between homes so na late na pag enroll ko sa kanya. IMC Guadalupe still has slots as of today, but I'm hoping sa IMC taguig ko siya ma-enroll since its closer to our new home. Outing kasi ng teachers today at IMC. I feels so stressed, ang hirap talaga mag hanap ng school na okay sa proximity, teaching methods and budget

at last i finally found a school for my kid. after canvassing for more or less 20 schools around makati, manila and pasay area.
i like the school because
1) it's non sectarian
2) it fits our budget
3) it's near our place
4) teachers are good, nice, warm and friendly
5) they encourage the kid to speak in English but if he/she can't, they won't push him/her to do so. they will just guide the kid and help him/her learn on his own.
6) they got playground
7) my kid likes their uniform cause it's blue. he really thinks that he's studying in Ateneo.

^^ But Ateneo's uniform is not blue for little kids.  For grade school, it's white polo, khaki shorts or pants.  For high school, it's chambray/light blue and khaki pants.

^he just associate blue with Ateneo (their official team color in UAAP) cause Ateneo is his favorite team in UAAP. so he thinks when he's wearing blue uniform, he's studying in Ateneo.

ako im looking for a school na din for my 2 year and a half daughter. we are from san antonio village makati, parang okay ata smart readers, mas preferred ko within the area kasi yaya lang ang susundo sakanila since i will be employed sa ibang bansa, at most of the time sa yaya lang ang anak ko might as well send her to school nalang.
